FIHRIYA Islamic Arts Fiesta Begins at Sa-Adiya Arabic College

Deli: The four-day FIHRIYA Islamic Arts Fiesta 2026 began at Sa-Adiya Arabic College on Wednesday, September 23, bringing together students for a vibrant celebration of Islamic culture, creativity and artistic expression.

The festival, being held from September 23 to 26, features a variety of competitions and programmes aimed at encouraging students to showcase their artistic talents while deepening their appreciation of Islamic heritage.

The inauguration ceremony was held at 10 a.m. in the presence of Sayyid Zainul Abideen Al Ahdalkannavam, Dr. Abubakar MA and Dr. Salahuddeen Ayyubi. The dignitaries addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of nurturing creativity and artistic excellence among students.

Named FIHRIYA in honour of Fatima al-Fihri, the founder of Al-Qarawiyyin in Fez, Morocco, the festival seeks to blend artistic expression with Islamic values and cultural awareness.

The four-day event provides students with a platform to demonstrate their talents, build confidence and celebrate the richness of Islamic arts and traditions.
